Travel Journal
The content of my Travel Journal website tells the story of my time studying abroad in London, England. Although the stories told are personal ones to my friends and I, the implementation of a range of media engages all viewers. With film and digital photography helping bring visuals into the written words on the screen, viewers are drawn in to continue through the listed countries as the stories progress. With accent illustrations and intentional choice of typography, the website showcases an aesthetic that brings the classic travel scrapbook into the digital world without losing the magic of memories.
Magpie Diner
The content of my E-Commerce website consists of the story of a local modern diner for Harrisonburg, Virginia. It offers users information regarding the history of the business as well as the stories of the people who worked so hard to build it. The website offers user friendly tools to view varying menus, merchandise, and photographs. The aesthetic of the website is intentionally designed to compliment the unique style of Magpie Diner. With checkered floors and diner booths, the black and white color scheme creates an inviting space to everyone who walks through the door.
